I am a multiple award winning international speaker who focuses on Global Diversity and Inclusion.<\/span><\/p>

I help organisations and individuals meet their corporate and social responsibilities by optimising inclusive practice to improve their business impact, client experiences and get the best from their employees. My personal and professional experiences as a leader in healthcare have shaped my approach and drives my public speaking and consultancy work where I optimise leadership and resilience in people and organisations. <\/span>

<\/span>In June 2018 I received an OBE in the Queen\u2019s Birthday Honours list for services to Nursing and Health Policy. The Health Service Journal voted me in the top 50 for three separate national awards: Inspirational Women in Healthcare, BME Pioneers and Clinical Leaders. I was listed as number 8 in the Powerlist UK (top 100 most influential Black people in UK)<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

A BBC expert woman, published author and panellist, I have extensive experience as an expert commentator in broadcast media on health and EDI issues.<\/p><\/div>

My work utilises my own research based model which provides a platform to enable success. I have over thirty years\u2019 experience of professional practice, strategic leadership, operational management and service development with a range of national and international organisations and agencies at national policy and Executive Board level. This includes being the only nurse member of the HSJ national inquiry into the future of NHS Leadership (2015), Non-executive Director at an NHS Foundation Trust, an Ambassador for the Race Equality Charter for Higher Education and Trustee of the Jamaican Nurses Association. In these roles I have myself consistently made the challenging move from \u201cexperienced professional to intelligent novice\u201d \u2013and out the other side learning many lessons along the way!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
